Quite the gig at American Dreams last
Saturday, huh? In case you missed it, the Regs pulled out about 8 new covers, 7 of
which they've never played together EVER! I'm sure the regular patrons of AD are
glad that winter is coming...that way, their necks won't be so "red". Yep, we like to play both kinds...country AND western. Nice to see some of our "regulars" made it out to support
us...and wow, Hedy and Jim really DO exist!
Next up...Chicago Loop (in Streamwood) December 13th.
KJ and Hook played this place before, when it was known as The Boulevard.
Fire up the Harley and ride it over...you'll feel right at home... |

Thanks to everyone who came out to Pop's in
Roselle last Friday. Wow, what a sound system, huh? Special thanks to the
great staff at Pop's, and to our cool soundman Gary! Now if we can just keep
Mordecai's sister off the stage... |

We were saddened by the news that Mike Oritz,
owner of El Jardin in Chicago, passed away this weekend. Both Mighty Joe and KJ have
played acoustic sets there, and Mike was a great boss to work for. Our sympathies go
out to his family and friends... |

Thanks to everyone who came out Saturday to
Joe's downtown...and thanks to those of you who purchased a copy of "SHRUG"! Tough night at Joe's...started pretty late, and most of the folks
were there to see the De La Hoya vs. Mosley fight (and they actually paid the $15
cover to get in!). Hey, didn't matter to us...we rocked hard...so hard that they
told us to turn down after the first song!
Next up: Pop's Sports Bar in Roslle - October 17.
Hey, isn't October 17th Might Joe's Birthday? Hum.... |

Thanks to all our fans and Bono's Pub
for a great CD Release Party!!!! Thanks to
everyone who purchased a copy of "SHRUG"! If you weren't able to make the
show and want to get your hands on the CD, here's how.
The Regs rocked through all the new tunes on
"SHRUG", and jammed some other great Regs originals and some fun covers.
Pictures from the gig will be on the website soon...stop back in a couple days and check
'em out!
Next up: Joe's on Weed St. in Chicago - September 13 |

CD Release Party!!!! Friday, August 22nd at Bono's Pub in Lisle.
We'll be performing songs from the new CD entitled
"SHRUG", as well as all many other great Regs originals and the usual smattering
of fun and obscure covers!
Check out the "Gigs" page
for more info on Bono's...see ya there! And don't forget to bring along your $10 to
purchase the new CD! |

Final mixes are done! Now we're
finishing up design ideas for the CD layout (graphics, pictures, etc). We should be
announcing a CD Release Party very soon! |

Hope you all had a great 4th! Anyone happen to
catch the acoustic show that MJ and Uncle Greg did at the "Eyes To The Sky" Fest
in Lisle? Rockin' good time! The guys are working hard on booking some new dates,
including a CD Release Party. Demo packages are flying out the door...so stay tuned for
the announcement of upcoming gigs. We're almost finished with the CD layout and
graphics...everything should be handed over to Doco by the beginning of August. |

All songs except 1 are now done. Hook has been
busy mastering these songs, and they sound really great! The guys have been kicking around
ideas for the CD layout (cover, pictures, etc). Once everything is done, Doco will be
doing the duplicating and printing. Did we mention that "SHRUG" is being
released by
Doco Records? Gotta love it... |

| May 15, 2003 |
All mixes except 3 are done! Hey, I mentioned
that the song order was done, but I forgot to tell you what it is! Here are the songs that
will be on the CD:
- Somedays Otherdays
- You Were There
- Feel
- Dig It Up
- King Of Beers
- GSM
- Red Wine
- Only One
- Last Call
- El Repriso
- Jager (live)
And, the title of the new CD will be simply
"SHRUG". Shrug? Yep...Shrug! |

Sorry it's been a while since the last update.
Lots of things have be happening, and they're all good (except for having to pay Uncle Sam
on April 15th!). All songs are now "officially" completed. Now it's just a
matter of mixing them down. Most songs are using around 18-20 tracks, so now it's a
matter of
making everything gel. Hook is working on mixes of all the songs, and we've got the
official song order for the CD. Mixing, listening, mixing, listening, mixing... |

OK, we figured out which intro to use for
"You Were There"...definately cool! Got some more mixes done on all the
tunes, and we've found a couple of things that we're gonna redo. Nothing major, just
little licks or vocal lines that we need to touch up. The boys are listening to
mixes of "Somedays Otherdays", "You Were There", "Feel",
"Red Wine", and "Only One". We're also putting an old acoustic
song on this CD, called "Last Call". This song was written by MJ and Hook
during their last night of recording at Bad Dog Studios back in 1995. Yep, Hook singing
backup again! Of course, it helps that KJ is singing backup as well! We've also got
a kickin' instrumental song with lots of funky stuff going on...still trying to
figure out a name for this one. |

|
| Feb 13, 2003 |
Looks like the final list of songs for the CD
is taking shape. All the guitar parts and vocal parts are now complete. We definately know
the first 3 songs on the CD will be "Somedays Otherdays", "You Were
There", and "Feel". Hook is working on mixing down these 3 songs.
We're still kicking around some ideas for the intro to "You Were There"...either
way, it's gonna sound cool! |

Progress on the new CD slowed down a bit due
to the holidays, but the boys were back in the studio today. MJ and KJ put down some
additional guitar tracks (wait 'til you hear the lead on "Feel"!), and worked
out some more vocal parts. Yes, SuperBowl Sunday, and we're working on the CD! (OK, we
finished early enough to catch the second half!) |
| |
|
| Nov 12, 2002 |
We're still tracking some guitar and vocal
work. The songs are really starting to take shape... |

|
| Oct 25, 2002 |
Thanks to everyone for coming out to Hook's
Surprise Birthday Party at Billy Biru's in St. Charles! Also thanks to Uncle Greg for
filling in on drums so that Hook could partake in a few birthday toasts! |
| |
|
| Oct 17, 2002 |
Hey, did you know that TODAY is Mighty Joe's
Birthday? Work continues on the new CD.
We re-tracked a couple of songs ('cause we knew we could do 'em better!), and added a new
instumental song to the list. MJ finished adding acoustic guitar to about 4
tracks. Next up is additional electric guitar work and vocals.
Remember, if you didn't get your FREE promo CD, be sure to
come out to the show at Billy Biru's on Friday, October 25th...we've only got about 15
left, so get there early and ask us for one!
And, don't forget that Mighty Joe is hosting a birthday
party on Sunday, October 20th at Shanahan's in Forest Park on Sunday night from 7-10pm. |

Here's the latest scoop on the
upcoming CD... We've recorded the basic tracks of 12
tunes. Not sure if all 12 will survive and be on the CD, but there will probably be
at least 10 tunes on this CD. We've already finished "Somedays Otherdays"
and the live version of "Jagermeister", which we gave away for free (yes, FREE)
at the Pioneer gig. If you didn't make the Pioneer show, you'll have another chance
at the Billy Biru's show. We've only got a few of these special FREE promo CDs left,
so show up at Biru's if you want one!
Anyway, back to the full-length CD...we're planning on
getting it wrapped up in time to be "wrapped up" as a nice holiday gift (hint,
hint). In early October, we should have most of the guitar work done and we'll
hopefully finish up all the vocals by the end of October. That leaves us a month to
mix and master (no small job). Also in November, we should finish up the artwork and
layout for the CD with Doco. Then Doco does his magic, and the next thing you know,
we've got a few hundred CDs ready to go. Stay tuned... |

CakeLady, Nate & Jen (who are STILL married), The Outsiders, Jesus & Debi, Doco

Wine, etc......
We gave out 25 CD singles & are anxious to receive any feedback you might have (good
OR bad)!
Remember, our next gig is Friday, Oct.25th at Billy Biru's in St. Charles /10pm.
We'll have more CD singles to give away...but you gotta be there to get one! We're hoping to finish our full-length release entitled "Some
of our Patrons (don't care for your music)" for DocoRecords in time for the holidays.
See you Soon! |
